In addition to teaching in the Chickadee classroom, the Director is responsible for all aspects of the school’s operations. She enrolls children, meets with parents, keeps records, hires and supervises staff, assists with and oversees curriculum development, offers staff training, organizes parent discussions, writes the newsletter, and generally assures the smooth operation of the school when anything else comes up. The Director spends time in each classroom on a regular basis, so that knowledge of the children’s school experience each year is first hand.

Teacher/Assistant Director – Stacey Festa

  • Qualified as Lead Teacher, Preschool, Director I by Massachusetts EEC
  • More than 25 years experience in preschool teaching and administration

Teachers are responsible for curriculum development, planning, and the supervision of children in their classrooms. They develop individualized instructional methods, create and maintain the classroom environment, and communicate with parents. In addition to time spent in the classrooms with the children, each teacher spends long hours in team meetings developing curricula and maintaining records on each child’s growth and development in school. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, the Assistant Director helps the Director in overseeing the daily operations of the program as required, and serves as a resource and mentor to other teachers.

  • EEC Certification in Elementary Education, Massachusetts

Teacher – Jacqueline Pomerleau

  • Bachelor's Degree Recreation Management
  • Grade School Director/Coach at a gymnastics facility, running programs for children ages 5-15
  • Post Baccalaureate Teaching License Pre-K to 2nd Grade
  • Lead Teacher, Director I and Director II certified
  • 10 years preschool teaching experience

Teacher – Carla Griffin

  • Qualified as Lead Teacher, Preschool
  • More than 20 years experience in preschool settings
  • Experience in Reggio Emilia inspired settings

Teacher/Assistant Director – Kim Osborne

Teacher – Marianna Sweeney
