October 5 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm
Multi-Sensory Learning and Development
Community Presentation with Rachel Giza-Sisson, , MS, OTR/L, 7:30-9pm
Our bodies and brains develop as we experience the world around us, and our sensory systems play a key part in this process. Sensory integration refers to the dynamic process of taking in input from our environment, processing it and then responding to it. Join us for a presentation and discussion on the ways that children can learn through multisensory play and activities to help enhance their motor development and regulation skills. This workshop aims to provide strategies that can be implemented both within the home and school settings.
Rachel Giza-Sisson, MS, OTR/L has been practicing in pediatric settings since 2014. She has experience working in home-based early intervention, preschool settings and outpatient clinics. Rachel currently works at South Shore Therapies in Norwood providing evaluation, treatment, and parent consultation. She looks forward to sharing her experience and collaborating with the Learning Circle community.
